Ride starts at Poe Park on the Grand Concourse at E. Kingsbridge Rd. Take the D or #4 train to Kingsbridge Rd. and skip the junk miles. Restrooms are at far end of administration building (access from outside).
This route takes the South & North County Trailways up to Pleasantville, then Sleepy Hollow Rd. down into Tarrytown. Pick up lunch at J & G Italian Deli on Beekman, then work you way over to Kingsland Point Park via side roads for a lovely picnic by the river. Come back through Tarrytown on side roads to avoid the traffic on Broadway 'til you're south of town. Likewise use side roads through Yonkers to avoid Riverdale Ave. Back on Broadway, stop at Lloyd's Carrot Cake for an afternoon treat before crossing the Broadway Bridge and coming down the Hudson Greenway to 72nd St.
