Once above Tarrytown, open roads to Pleasantville.

Consider buying lunch to picnic at the Kensico Dam Plaza while you are approaching it on Columbus/Broadway.

Many railroad station options for returns in event of bad weather.

Otherwise, many miles up and back on standard access roads for not so many miles of interesting roads.

RWGPS route re-routed from original to some less trafficked options.

Can bail out at numerous stations on way up or back or start/finish with train either way to Tarrytown and cut distance in half which can make it a C ride.

Use pedestrian path on Broadway Bridge.

Lunch at Tarrytown, half way. (Headless)Horseman Dinner on corner of Rt 9 and 448.

If time is a concern, stay on Riverdale Avenue instead of taking a right onto 252 St. Then follow RDA to the left onto 231 St and then a right onto Broadway, but you will miss some of the nicest riding in The Bronx.

Short, easy ride, good for off season. Lots of bailouts via MetroNorth or subway.  Eating options in Scarsdale continue to improve: 2 diners for winter indoor eating; bakery on East Parkway or Starbucks in train station for quick carbs & coffee; excellent deli around on Spencer Pl.
